KAYAM CHURNA
General introduction:
Kayam churna is a proprietary ayurvedic medicine, it is not a traditional ayurvedic medicine, and therefore will not be found in traditional Ayurvedic literature.
It is an especially curated formula for constipation.
Composition of Kayam churna:
Kayam churna consists of some very wonderful Ayurvedic herbs which help in relieving constipation. These ingredients are mentioned below:

Mode of action: their laxative effect and these leaves constitute 50% of the total quantity of the churna. They act by irritating the lining of our intestines and thus stimulating them, in turn producing a laxative effect.
Senna leaves are also known to cause abdominal pain and cramps which is kept under control by the other ingredients like black salt, svarjiksara, ajwain etc., present in the churna.

Dosage:
Kayam churna is also available in tablet form in the market by the name of Kayam tablets.

Half to two teaspoons of churna should be taken at night preferably with warm water before sleeping.

One to two tablets of Kayam can be taken every day, depending upon the requirement, usually one tablet is sufficient in cases of mild constipation.

More than the indicated amount should not be taken to avoid any side effects in future.
