General Introduction:
Thuja Occidentalis is commonly known as arborvitae – which means – tree of life.
It is known as the tree of life because of its medicinal properties which are present in its bark, sap and twigs.
In Homoeopathy, medicine is prepared from the tincture of fresh green twigs and was proved by Dr. Hahnemann who was founder of the Homoeopathic system of medicine.
Thuja has a marked action on the following parts:

Constitution of a Thuja patient

Well suited to hydrogenoid constitution.

These people mostly have tendencies for warts, condylomatas or some kind of Sycotic growths.
Mental symptoms:

Fixed ideas; patient feels as if his soul and body were separated; as if a strange person were at his side; as if something alive is present in abdomen.

Music makes the patient weep with trembling of feet.

Forgetful.

Aversion to life, does not like his life.
Head:

Patients requiring Thuja mostly suffer from Left sided headaches.

Pain in the head as if pierced by a nail.

Vertigo as from motion of a swing, when rising from a seat, or when lying down, or looking into the air.

Heaviness in the head especially in the morning on waking.

Congestion of blood in head, pulsation in temples.

Patient likes to wrap his head warm.

Scalp is painful to touch.

Eyes:

Eyes are painful and have burning sensation, shooting pain in eyes in bright light.

Stomach:

Abdomen:

Urinary System:
